Massive Ripped Pecs with Protein - 2
When it comes to Protein Supplement Sources is whey the best?
Although there are literally hundreds of protein supplement products to choose from for developing massive, ripped, pecs, they essentially fall into three categories - whey, milk and egg, and soy.
Whey protein
Whey is one of the two major proteins found in cow’s milk. (the other being casein). Whey makes up about 20 percent of the total protein found in milk and is considered the best protein supplement because of its digestibility, bioavailability (amount absorbed versus amount used), and high levels of such muscle builders as glutamine and branched chain amino acids. It also mixes easier than other protein sources, and doesn’t seem to cause the bloating and gastrointestinal discomfort that other protein sources have reputations for.
Milk and Egg proteins
Years ago milk and egg proteins were far inferior to whey for developing massive, ripped, pecs, but not any more. Processing techniques have made milk and egg sources almost as good. But despite better refinement procedures milk and egg products still need to be mixed in a blender. Milk and egg sources may also cause gastrointestinal issues for some because they use whole milk. Most whey protein supplement products have the lactose and other gastro upsetting culprits removed.
Soy Protein
Like milk and egg protein sources, soy protein has received a new lease on life lately. Despite being derived from a plant, soy is one of the few plant sources that contain all 22 amino acids (most plant proteins are lacking one or more amino acids). Compared to high-end proteins, soy protein falls a little short in most respects. It doesn't mix that well (a blender is a must), and its taste will definitely need some adjusting to. Still, it has its benefits including lowering cholesterol and reducing heart disease. So while not the best protein supplement for building massive ripped pecs, soy does have a role to play in contributing to overall health.
